1982: Al produces a record of a band Paul Barker and Bill Rieflan were in called: 'Blackouts,' Ministry's first album: 'With Sympathy,' (which Al refers to as an 'abortion' and that it was synth-disco music which was influenced upon him by the label. He vows never to allow such a thing to happen again) is released on Arista Records.

1988: Paul Barker joins Ministry. 'The Land of Rape and Honey' is released and is recognised as a breakthrough album (both Al and Paul admit that it was a tense and aggravating album to make). A video is made for the song: 'Stigmata' which was released as a single the same year. Ministry goes on tour with Skinny Puppy.
1989: 'The Mind is a Terrible Thing To Taste' is released and confirms Ministry's status as the creators of a whole new style of music (Ministry starts to discover a wider audience after this album). A video is made for: 'Burning Inside' which was also released as a twelve inch single the same year.
1990: Ministry releases the album and video: 'In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up (Live)' [it is a live video containing songs from 'The Land of Rape and Honey' and 'The Mind is a terrinle thing to Taste.' 1993: The Wax Trax! 'Black Box' is released featuring unreleased songs.

But, due to illegal problems with Trent's then record label, TVT Records, they coud not release it to the public. Al then informed the companies and the public that he re-sang the vocals.
